1. Introduction

Clientry ('we', 'us') is a micro-SaaS tool that helps Hungarian freelancers collect billing details from their clients and create invoices via Billingo or Számlázz.hu. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

2. Data Controller

Clientry is operated as a sole proprietorship registered in Hungary. Contact: privacy@clientry.hu

3. Cookies

We use only essential cookies:

• Session cookie — maintains your login session (required for the application to work)
• CSRF cookie — protects against cross-site request forgery attacks (security)
• Language preference — remembers your chosen language (Hungarian or English)

We do not use any tracking, analytics, or advertising cookies.

4. Third-Party Services

• Billingo / Számlázz.hu — invoicing provider, receives client billing data to create invoices
• Resend — email delivery (transactional emails only)
• Render.com — hosting provider (EU servers)
• Sentry — error tracking (no personally identifiable information sent)
• Google / Apple — optional OAuth sign-in (only if you choose to sign in this way)

5. Data Retention

• Client submission data: retained in Clientry for 12 months, then redacted
• Account data: retained until you delete your account
• Invoices: stored in your invoicing provider per Hungarian tax regulations (8 years)

6. Data Security

• All connections are encrypted with HTTPS (TLS)
• Invoicing API keys are encrypted at rest using AES-256
• Passwords are hashed using Django's default PBKDF2 algorithm
• We enforce Content Security Policy headers to prevent XSS attacks

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or port your data. You may also withdraw consent or lodge a complaint with NAIH (the Hungarian Data Protection Authority).

8. Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page. This action is irreversible.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
